The DreamDay Technology Fellowship is a comprehensive program designed to empower young entrepreneurs in Sierra Leone with essential digital skills. The fellowship includes training, mentorship, and support to enhance participants’ capabilities and drive meaningful impact in their communities.

The fellowship is open to individuals aged 18 to 35 in Sierra Leone, representing startups, non-profit organizations, or social enterprises. Eligible candidates should have a passion for entrepreneurship, proficiency in English, and access to digital devices and the internet.

Eligibility criteria include being aged 18 to 35, representing startups or social enterprises in Sierra Leone, having proficiency in English, possessing a personal device with internet access, and being committed to actively participating in the program.

To apply for the fellowship, eligible candidates can visit our online platform and complete the application process. Ensure you meet the age criteria, business type requirements, and other eligibility criteria mentioned in the application guidelines.

The fellowship spans a total duration of 8 months, including one month for selection, one month for training, and 6 months of mentorship, monitoring, and consulting.

The curriculum covers a range of digital skills, including communication and research, accounting tools, social media management, online safety, image/audio/video customization, pitch and presentation tools, data storage and backup, and project management tools.

Participants will be selected through a rigorous process involving the promotion of the DreamDay Technology Fellowship program, accepting, and reviewing applications based on eligibility criteria, and ultimately selecting 20 entrepreneurs from 10 companies and organizations.

The success of the fellowship is measured through regular monitoring and evaluation processes, including input, process, and output monitoring, quality assurance, baseline data collection, mid-term and end-of-project evaluations, sustainability evaluation, data analysis, and continuous improvement.

No, participation in the fellowship is free of charge for the selected entrepreneurs. We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all eligible candidates.

Participants will receive support in the form of online and offline training workshops, self-paced learning opportunities, regular assessments, and guidance from qualified instructors and digital experts. All ten companies are sure to have a well-structured IT infrastructure for their operations. The training is designed to be hands-on and practical.

All teams are required to present a ten-minute pitch with slides to a panel of 3 to 5 changemakers in Sierra Leone. The pitch competition aims to assess and select winning teams based on the impact of their business ideas. The winning team receives a one-page website to enhance their online presence.

Yes, after the training, participants will enter a 6-months mentorship, monitoring, including the alumni network. This phase includes ongoing support, guidance, and access to a network of like-minded entrepreneurs.

Yes, proficiency in the English language is mandatory. Participants should be able to speak and write in English to effectively engage in the training program, communicate with instructors, and collaborate with fellow participants.

Yes, participants are encouraged to collaborate, share knowledge, and engage in peer-to-peer learning. The fellowship aims to create a supportive and cooperative learning community among the trained entrepreneurs.
